For anyone exploring Lunigiana, this is a convenient and very good-value base, with several restaurants a short walk away, from rustic places to gourmet ones. The property sits beside a stone bridge over a waterfall in a very picturesque village. There’s an enclosed garden with a hydromassage tub, and satellite TV for anyone who wants it. Be aware that getting to the property from the piazza means climbing a large stone stairway.

I loved the atmosphere, and the owners have kept the history while adding a modern touch. They were incredibly kind and welcoming. It’s also conveniently placed for getting to several tourist attractions, which I really enjoyed visiting. I’ll definitely come back.

We spent a couple of nights at this mill, which has a lovely riverside setting, though the way down feels very dangerous when it rains. The apartment was really damp, with hardly any amenities: no TV, a broken oven, just a few pans, and utensils that didn’t go together well. The toilet was broken too. For that price, it’s easy to find a hotel by the sea that includes breakfast. I highly recommend it.

Bagnone is a magical village, and this little apartment has plenty of charm and all the comforts, including a hot tub in the garden. The location is wonderful, and we were welcomed so warmly. Highly recommended.
