We had an awful stay. There was dirt everywhere, the room was freezing, and the heating didn’t work. The breakfast area was freezing in the morning too. The managers were kind, but wouldn’t admit that they weren’t heating the rooms enough to make things comfortable. These rooms shouldn’t be rented in winter; they aren’t fit to welcome guests then. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it for these reasons, and wouldn’t return even for free. The accommodation was a real disappointment.

The restaurant is suitable for banquets and wedding events, and the spacious, welcoming dining room looks out over wooded scenery of rare beauty. The Bagnone stream runs through it, with the Apennine mountains rising above to about 1,800 meters. It’s at the edge of the small village of Jera, reachable from Bagnone, and serves excellent local products and recipes, prepared with great care.

The host might seem reserved for the first minute or two, but then his kind, friendly, charming side comes through. The hospitality and courtesy are unmatched, and the food ranges from good to excellent. A must-try if you want some peace and a chance to unwind.

You can even stay the night here, and the peace and quiet make it easy to unwind. The food is wholesome, authentic, and served in generous portions. It’s a charming place with a bit of a 60s and 70s feel, and the owner and his wife are characters you won’t forget.
