Hotel Villa Gemella

We loved the setting, with beautiful sea views, and the hotel was well maintained. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, making it easy to feel at home. Staff were always friendly and attentive without hovering, from the warm check-in to their useful tips about local attractions. The area has a well-stocked supermarket and a beautiful beach within walking distance, so we didn't need a car to enjoy Baja Sardinia. We also liked being able to relax by the pool, wander around the charming surroundings, or just take in the peaceful atmosphere. A fantastic stay, and highly recommended.

Nick, the hotel owner, was very helpful and spoke very good English. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, and our room was cleaned every day. We had a wonderful five days and would recommend staying here.

The receptionist, Andrea, was very cool and helpful, but I found the owner obnoxious and not very welcoming to guests. He seemed to have an issue with LGBT guests, and his constant “but” answers made our stay worse. I'd suggest staying elsewhere, like Mon Repos. After last year's Covid started, it took two months for me to get my deposit back. We stopped by to say hello, but the owner was anything but welcoming. He also never replied to my booking questions, even after I tried by email, Instagram, and the website. He said he “do[es] not check media,” yet suddenly managed to reply to my comment here straight away. When I raised the unanswered booking requests, he smirked and called it “strange” four times. There was no misunderstanding, apology, regret, or attempt to check the emails. His attitude felt anti-LGBT to me. Andrea is the one who has to put up with the owner's stubbornness, and so do the hardworking women on staff.

A quiet, relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings, with no complaints from me. The place is small and friendly, well maintained, and has a personal touch. Great location too, just five minutes from the beach, with a supermarket across the road. Nico was great.
