The owners, Paola and her husband, were very kind and always available whenever we needed anything. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. My partner and I stayed in the top apartment, which had a truly special view of Poltu Quatu. We’re grateful to them and recommend staying here.

The views over Poltu Quatu and the surrounding area are panoramic. The property is welcoming, very tidy, and clean, with everything needed for a pleasant stay. It’s peaceful there, yet only a few kilometers from the Costa Smeralda towns. The owners were very kind and happy to give information about restaurants, beaches, rentals, and more. They even let us keep the room past the usual check-out time. The price was very competitive for the area. Highly recommended.

The accommodation has a fantastic location, though trees on the terrace block part of the sea view. The owners live directly below the holiday home. You are separate from them, but not completely alone, so bear that in mind if privacy matters to you. On Friday evening the water pump broke, leaving us without water for several hours. No one had told us there would be an interruption. It seems they couldn’t repair it properly. They tried again the next day, and each repair attempt came with an unannounced power cut in the accommodation, presumably because the electricity had to be turned off. They apparently couldn’t find a replacement pump on Saturday, so we didn’t get proper water pressure back until Monday evening, after another outage. On Monday, we also found a line of ants coming from the roof and going into the kitchen. There was some food there, of course, but contrary to what the landlady said, we’d never been explicitly warned about ants or told not to leave food in the kitchen. The landlords removed them when we asked, but the dead ants left behind were unpleasant. Ants appeared in the bedroom the next day too, and we had to spray them ourselves because the landlords had already left. After the trip we asked the landlords for a small price reduction. We weren’t after much, just some acknowledgment that the stay hadn’t gone perfectly. They refused, downplayed the inconvenience, said no other guests had complained, and claimed it wasn’t their fault. We found that reaction strange. Even if it wasn’t their fault, the situation was within their responsibility and control. An apology and €50 would have ended things amicably and made a substantial difference to our rating. As it stands, we’ve taken off two stars solely because of the lack of service and customer friendliness.

The owners are extremely kind and helpful, and the property is lovely, surrounded by lush greenery. My stay isn’t over yet, but I’m already thinking of coming back to this peaceful, relaxing place.
