The location is the biggest plus, right on a beautiful beach, with free parking and easy drives to nearby villages and other beaches. The pool area has stunning views and breakfast was decent. Emmanuel and the gentleman in the white dinner jacket at breakfast made things feel warmer and more personal. The property feels dated, with rooms that seem untouched since the 90s, small showers, uncomfortable beds, and weak AC. Staff brought us a portable unit that worked well. Everything was clean, but the facilities need refurbishment. Service varied: some staff were lovely, while others were less accommodating. Our request for an extra pillow was eventually sorted, thanks Saber, but it wasn’t smooth, and the pillow smelled strongly of smoke. There’s charm here and the setting is fantastic, but it doesn’t match the price. It felt more like a three-star stay. With investment and upgrades, it could become a truly excellent destination.

The setting was simply paradise, with clear water, plenty of fish even around the hotel beaches, and gorgeous sunsets. We took a boat trip straight from the hotel jetty and had a magical day exploring the nearby islands. We stayed in the Nelson suite, room 7, with sea views toward other parts of the island and La maddalena archipelago. The room and views were beautiful. Dinner was included and came as four courses, with four choices for each course that changed nightly. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff struck a lovely balance between being attentive and giving us space. Thanks to all of them. Do get a daily gelato from ‘mr ice’ in the little square just along the road. A couple of room details could be better: there weren’t enough plug sockets, and the ones there were not installed very well. Drinks at the bar and minibar were also a bit pricey.

The evening at the pool bar was a highlight of our dreamy week at Hotel La Bisaccia, in Sardinia at the end of May. We’d finish the day there with a nightcap, sea views, a relaxed feel, and live music in the neighboring pavilion. The pianist was outstanding, with real technical skill and musical depth. He moved from the softest pianissimo to grand fortissimo, and his versions of Italian classics were especially lovely. We were also won over by the food. With half board, breakfast had fresh fruit, croissants, muesli, toast, cheeses, cold cuts, juices, and a dessert buffet. Dinner was four courses, with three or four options for each, including appetizer, two main courses, and dessert. It was consistently top notch, authentic Italian cooking, fresh and full of flavor. The wine suggestions were excellent, and the wine was always served at just the right temperature. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day, towels changed regularly, and soap and shampoo refilled. Housekeeping even folded my training pants and put them neatly on the pillow. The balcony chairs were tidied, and the minibar restocked with fresh items. The location was perfect, a short walk to the charming town center and its shops, and under 100 meters from the private beach. From our balcony we had a breathtaking sea view. Reception was friendly, helpful, and attentive, and we felt welcome and at ease. One small criticism: one staff member sometimes seemed more focused on her fresh nails and adjusting her glasses than on the guests. It barely affected our otherwise very positive impression. We’d happily return in a heartbeat. A heartfelt thank you to the whole Hotel La Bisaccia team for an unforgettable holiday. Simply wonderful.

The hotel is perfectly placed by a beautiful beach, and it’s easy to reach other beaches in the area from here. Breakfast was very good. Still, it’s extremely expensive for what you get. The rooms and the facilities are outdated, and dinner portions are very small while the prices are huge. Some staff were pleasant and nice, but others need to work on their manners.

It’s a clean hotel in a convenient spot for the main beaches in Costa Smeralda, and the secured parking was handy. The staff are generally polite and welcoming, though some could use a more courteous approach. The rooms don’t offer what I’d expect for the very high price.
