A lovely place to slow down, with a saltwater pool set in a well-kept garden and lit beautifully at night. The owner is very helpful and gave us great tips for getting around and enjoying local delicacies. It’s also convenient for day trips to popular spots between Palermo and Trapani.
We stayed for two weeks with our newborn and our three-year-old. The place is peaceful, close to the sea, and has a fantastic pool. Our apartment was new and had all the comforts. Roberto and Anna were very kind and helpful. It’s a great choice if you want some tranquility without driving around constantly. We hope to return soon.
We’ve rented holiday places plenty of times with our two small children, but this one made for a wonderful week. The spaces felt safe and well managed, and the furnishings were very well appointed. We especially loved the porch set up for outdoor meals, the children’s play area in the garden, and the barbecue area. The staff were very friendly too. It’s in a charming, manageable-sized town and well placed for Trapani, Palermo, and the surrounding areas. And the sea is enchanting. We already miss it 😍
Roberto welcomed us warmly, showed us around the villa, and kept in touch in English during our stay. He recommended places for pizza and pasta, good groceries, sights to visit, and a car rental company. Renting from them for more than seven days included free airport transfers. They met us at the airport with a sign and drove us straight to the villa in a comfortable minibus. Their prices were also great, almost half the airport rates. We rented a car and explored different places. The villa is well located for visiting lots of great sights. The Temple of Athens and the ancient Tempio di Segesta theater are about a 20-minute drive away, and I highly recommend seeing them. It’s a 15-minute walk to the beach and five minutes to Balestrate, with its shops and restaurants. The airport drive took 20-30 minutes. The sea was clean and the beach was large, so there was always room for our own towel and umbrella. The water was warm, and we spent 3-4 hours in the sea. There were no jellyfish. The beach toilet and shower were out of order due to COVID-19. We were there with two children, and both the kids and the parents really enjoyed the stay. The villa has four apartments, two on the ground floor and two upstairs, plus private grounds and parking. Our veranda had a stunning sea view, with a sofa, a small table and chairs, and a large dining table where we enjoyed beautiful sunsets over dinner. The grounds had a large, clean pool, two showers, a barbecue area with a table and sink, and a children’s swing set and slide. Inside, everything we needed for a comfortable stay was there, and clean linens and towels were provided on arrival.
