Hotel Angelino

We stayed for three nights in early October and really enjoyed it. The hotel is simple and cozy, run by a lovely family, and its location right on the water gives it a lot of charm. It can be hard to find, and when the wind is up and the sea is rough it can get noisy. The bus stop and parking are about a 20 minute walk away, but that distance also keeps away the tour buses and people who just happen to wander in.

This was a simple, no frills place with friendly service and good value, right by the water. I liked it a lot, though it won't suit everyone. The rooms are very basic, so don't come expecting luxury. For me, sitting on the balcony and enjoying the location was enough. Getting there takes some effort, especially with mobility issues or heavy luggage. You can take a water taxi from Sant’Angelo and get off in the surf, or walk about 15 minutes along the beach from Maronti, over boardwalk and sand. The staff were really nice and spoke English. We only had one simple lunch, but it was good, and everything we saw being served looked excellent.

We felt right at home here. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the food was amazing, and our room had the lovely view shown in the picture. Such a unique spot, with its own beach and thermal pool.

The place is right on the beach and has a wonderful setting, with a couple of excellent restaurants nearby. My husband and I first stayed for a few days in June 2017, then came back in September 2019. The accommodation is basic but clean, and breakfast is included.
