Hotel Vittorio Beach Resort

The rooms are clean and every one has an ocean view, but they're very basic: a bed, toilet, TV, and shower, with no air conditioning or fridge. The private beach is lovely, and the restaurant food is really good without being too pricey. Service staff were amazing, friendly, and helpful throughout. It's a beautiful, quiet spot with relatively few guests, well suited to a romantic holiday. Just know that lots of ships anchor nearby on weekends. Getting there means either walking along the beach and a makeshift wooden walkway, which could be tricky depending on your fitness, or taking a taxi boat for about 4€/person, around 10 minutes. I can definitely recommend it if you're after a beautiful ocean view, good food, and the spirit of ischia.

The view is incredible, and for me it's the best beach in ischia. A short boat ride to San Angelo is a must. I feel so at home here, with a chilled, welcoming atmosphere I don't usually find at other hotels. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the rooms and the rest of the hotel are always so clean. The sea is only a few minutes from the terrace, and it's wonderfully clear. There's a mineral shower, thermal bath, natural volcanic sauna, and a pool with both thermal and regular water. Cleaning is excellent. The location is great, and lunch and dinner are good. Breakfast comes as a nice buffet, with excellent coffee from "Passa l'acqua" for real coffee lovers. To visit nearby places, there's a boat service to St. Angelo or wherever you want to go.

It's very quiet and in a great spot. You wake up to the Mediterranean Sea splashing against the shore, and can walk straight from the hotel onto the beach. Getting there isn't easy, though: it's a 700 meter walk from the nearest bus stop or taxi stand, so it may not suit you if long walks are difficult. The restaurant could be better. The staff there are unfriendly and unprofessional, and seem more interested in talking to each other than helping guests.
