The location is fantastic, and the family running the business otherwise seemed nice. Still, the service was kind of lousy, and the wine was only okay. They asked for cash for lunch, which comes with their wines, but hadn’t told us in advance. I was short on cash and asked if I could pay by card for a little extra. They charged me 20% more without first saying how much extra it would be. If I’d known the markup, I probably would’ve paid cash and tried to get more from an ATM afterward. They weren’t apologetic, and I was pretty taken aback. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I wouldn’t come back.

I took some clients to Fattoria Sant’Appiano for lunch and a wine tasting, and we had a fantastic time. The atmosphere was really pleasant, and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely return with other clients.

The food was below standard for 70 euros per person, and the wine didn’t particularly stand out, though the prices were much higher than market rates. I wouldn’t recommend coming here for a wine tasting. It began with a very brief introduction to winemaking, barely five minutes, then moved on to the food tasting. The prices weren’t clearly stated or explained.
