Check the bill carefully. I was charged €20 for a bottle priced at €16, and €16 for a pasta dish listed at €9. Prices also seem high for the remote location: a spritz cost €12 at the hotel, while it was €8 by the beach in nearby Finale Ligure. I haven’t seen that in Italy outside high-end hotels. The bedroom air conditioning didn’t work for one night, though it was repaired the next day. There’s no air conditioning in the living room.

Our apartment was spacious, and having an apartment with hotel services felt like the best of both worlds. The garden had a lovely view, stayed quiet, and always had enough loungers. We also enjoyed the sauna and whirlpools. WiFi worked everywhere, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They speak English very well. After six days, we were sorry to go.

I can’t comment on the hotel itself, but the location is lovely. We came for a day at the spa, where the welcoming staff and facilities made it easy to relax for a few hours. Lunch was a buffet, and the food was great.

We booked a spa day with buffet lunch and a massage for the bride to celebrate my sister’s upcoming wedding. They surprised us with a suite at no charge and a cake after lunch, which was such a lovely gesture. Everyone was kind and treated us like queens. It was my second visit, and I’ll definitely return. The hosts were amazing. Complimenti a Marcello e al suo staff!!

The valley and pool views are great. Saturday’s grill menu is a good deal at €26 for a meat or fish main. The appetizers were okay, though not fantastic, about 3/5, while the grill was 4/5. The children’s menu costs €10 for pizza or spaghetti, which feels too expensive for what you get compared with nearby restaurants.
