Bottrigo Apartment

Beautiful place, and the service was very good!

The pool was good, and the first-floor apartment was bright, with a view of the lake and pool. It's also in an excellent spot, about a five-minute drive from Bardolino centre. The mattress was exceptional, though the bedroom furniture felt dated and the rest of the furnishings were passable. A number of details made us uncomfortable: the shower had rusty tiles and door joints, the toilet bowl was dirty and encrusted, there were cobwebs on radiators and crumbs on the mattress cover, and the faucets were dirty and covered in limescale. The dishcloth was torn, two dresser drawers were broken underneath, and there was a strong vinegar-like smell throughout the apartment. Outside, the grass needed cutting and the property could use more maintenance. I also think each apartment, there seemed to be about 10, should have at least an umbrella and a couple of loungers, so guests don't have to take over the pool area at busy times.

We found everything easily, from the key collection address to the apartment. The garden and apartment are very spacious, and the furnishings and kitchen look like new. Instructions for using everything were clear. We were glad the pool was already open and went in every day, even with temperatures around 19-20 degrees Celsius. It's an easy walk into town or to nearby places to eat, including Arca Pizzeria and Ristorante al Bersagliere. We were very satisfied and would come back. And in our experience, the region isn't as expensive as people often say. We could shop and eat out at reasonable prices.

The town centre is only a 10-minute walk away, and we love the peace and views here. We don't need a 5-star hotel and are happy to cater for ourselves, so I can highly recommend Ca Bottrigo. The apartments are spacious, and although the furnishings are simple, they're in good condition. We've been coming back for years. This was our first stay with our 13-month-old daughter, and it was genuinely relaxing to let her run around in the garden.
