Camping Serenella

We found the whole stay really disappointing. The photos on Booking.com gave a misleading impression, and the accommodation felt like a scam. The place seemed more like a factory where people arrive, pay and leave without coming back. The mobile home was much smaller than it looked online, and it wasn’t properly cleaned before we arrived. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut properly, and hot water took a long time to come through. Our unit was beside a busy road, with dust and traffic noise that carried on at night. Cars and motorcycles in the middle of the night made it hard to sleep. The double bed was very narrow for two, while the supposed extra bed in the kitchen was just a bench. Our 160 cm tall daughter barely fit on it, and the third bed was barely suitable for a child. The €100 deposit also seemed unnecessary and unjustified. There were a few useful points: I could park right outside the mobile home, the lake was close, and keeping non-guests out made the campsite feel secure. Staff were efficient and professional, and the small grocery store onsite was convenient.

We’ve just left after a week. Our caravan space was small, but we managed, and I think the place deserves another star. There’s a good location, bike rental and a nice beach. We had no trouble finding gluten free products in either the store or restaurant.

We’d absolutely come back. Our ultimate caravan through Eurocamp was large, clean and thoughtfully equipped, right down to the dishwasher tabs. The site was quiet and felt secure with gated access. Great location on the lake, a play area for the kids, friendly staff and a well-stocked shop. The pools were amazing and the kids had so much fun. This deserves five stars, even more than a five star site we stayed at further up the lake!

We had a lovely, laid-back camping trip and would definitely return. Other campers were considerate, and there wasn’t excessive noise late at night. The restaurant and bar staff were all very pleasant, and the toilet facilities stayed clean, with the staff clearly working hard to keep them that way. Our pitch wasn’t huge, but our tent fit, and the shrubs and trees gave us some welcome shade. It’s a manageable-sized campsite, so walking to the pool and lake was easy.
