MaisonMe Boutique Hotel - Adults Only

It was clean and nice, but we expected more for the money and it didn’t feel like home from home. The location was good, with lake views and an 8-10 minute walk to shops and restaurants. Breakfast was nice, but when they say they’ll make things your way, try asking for a poached egg. They couldn’t do it, even with a pan of boiling water there. They also didn’t explain much about what was available. Apparently you can hire bikes, but no one could tell us the price. When it rained and we wanted a little downtime, the TV didn’t have the 100+ channels advertised. The shower was good, but it wasn’t clear whether the soap and shower cap cost extra. There was a €5 tag, so I couldn’t tell if that was for the bag or its contents. The staff weren’t great walkers either. I asked about walking to the wine museum and was told no, to drive or take a taxi. It was an easy walk of less than 30 minutes, and we did a circular route that took in another vineyard too. They didn’t even suggest hiring bikes. The room fridge was tiny, not big enough for a wine bottle.

The price can be high, but I thought it was worth it. One thing to know: the €9 city tax has to be paid in cash. The hotel doesn’t serve dinner, but breakfast was exceptional, with eggs made to order, fresh juices, and a nice range of food. We also had a private beach area with beds, a bar, and beach towels that were included and replaced when needed. Parking out front is private, though spaces are limited. Our room was spotless, and we could choose to have it cleaned each day, even in the afternoon. After a long drive, we were welcomed with prosecco and shown to our room. I travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels, and this was probably one of the best, maybe the best.

I had a fantastic stay at MaisonMe. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the hotel is in pristine condition in an excellent location. Daniele welcomed me, checked me in, and suggested restaurants in Bardolino. That evening, the hotel arranged a car to take me to one, and Giovani was a lovely driver who told me about the region’s history. Arnisa was friendly and very helpful with checkout and gave me useful advice for parts of my itinerary. From the first moment, the welcome was warm, and the service was five star. Highly recommended, and thanks to the whole team!

The location was perfect, the breakfast fresh and delicious, and the rooms were amazing. The bed was one of the best we’ve ever slept in. The staff made us feel like family instead of guests. I’d give this fantastic hotel six stars!
