Hotel Villa Myosotis

Our earlier plans fell through, so we booked at the last minute through booking.com. The host welcomed us and made us feel at home, and the place turned out to be really nice. It was clean, nicely decorated, and perfectly located in the center.

A small hotel run by a lovely local family. Don’t expect luxury finishes, but there’s warmth, great hosting, a very nice setting, good food, and useful local tips. ♥️🍀☀️

The quality for the price is amazing. I was staying at the hotel and got to have dinner at this hidden spot, where the food was very nice and authentic. Only typical Italian locals were dining there. I started with lentil soup, then had sirloin steak with mashed potato and spinach garnishes. To finish, I tried local cheeses and a delicate chocolate parfait. 5/5.

I first found this hotel years ago with my mother, and it was wonderful then. It’s a real shame to see it slowly deteriorating now. The rooms still look cute in their vintage mountain style, but they’re definitely dusty. I started sneezing like crazy that same evening, and the bathroom is really old. Breakfast used to be wonderful, with lots of variety and everything fresh. The hotel used to serve the coffee, but now you have to make it yourself and use the milk frother that’s already been used and is dirty. The muffins were so hard they could have been rocks for another cake. The TV room used to have coffee or tea service too, but now the coffee maker is broken and everything else is missing. I remember eating at the restaurant once and can’t comment on the food quality, though it may be superb. The dishes are all beyond what a normal family can afford. Looking at the state of the hotel, I don’t understand how that can be; there should be some equality. I can’t say the same about it now.
