Felix Hotels - Galanias Hotel & Retreat

The staff made us feel welcome and looked after, and they spoke several languages. We especially enjoyed the food, with a breakfast buffet that had all the choices we wanted on holiday. There are two yoga rooms, though groups were using them during our stay. We stayed here for the second part of our vacation and loved the setting on a slight hill, with ocean views from both our room and the terrace. The two pools had plenty of loungers for everyone. Thanks for making our time so special.

We didn't get to visit the famous Blue Zone town or the nearby ruins, so those are on our list for next time. We already know we'd like to come back more than once. Galanias is an immaculate, luxurious resort that surpassed what we expected, just a short distance from the beach. Our newer-room view looked toward the hills, and in the morning we could hear birds and distant sheep bells. The pools were lovely, the food was fantastic, and the beds and linens felt luxurious. The sandy beach is about a ten-minute walk away, with an old tower overlooking it, once used to watch for Moorish raiders. The staff treated us like family and gave us truly five-star service. We highly recommend the resort.

At 220 euros for a standard room with breakfast in mid-season, we felt the hotel didn't offer value for the price. The room was comfortable, but ordinary. Breakfast had a huge spread, though few of the products seemed high quality. The staff service didn't match the price either. It also didn't feel very dog-friendly, as the staff seemed afraid of our little dog. The welcome drink was industrial juice, which we wouldn't expect at a hotel charging this much.

The pool was so quiet that most days we practically had it to ourselves. The hotel sits on a hill above the beach, and our stay was very peaceful. Staff were helpful throughout. Dinner at the restaurant was mostly good. The first night I got a frozen lasagne, but I tried again and it was perfectly fine, if not the best.
