Resort Baia Cea

Really loved our stay, even though it was just one night. Everything was perfect!

The bungalows were clean and comfortable, with good beds and a fridge in each one. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. I felt very comfortable there and always found someone ready to help. They serve breakfast and dinner, and you can get a drink or snack in between. Ivy Beach Club is only a three-minute drive away, with a great beach and bars. It’s a quiet place to get away, and you can bring your dog. The resort has a very sweet, sociable dog of its own, Matteo, and my dog Freki quickly became friends with him. The resort has plenty of space and a big garden, so I could walk there. I also drove elsewhere to walk my dog. You shouldn’t walk your dog outside the resort, since there are some Shepherd dogs nearby looking after the sheep who might attack.

The beach is a comfortable ten-minute walk, about 800 m, with clear water and sand, and it wasn’t overcrowded. There’s also a nice, clean pool on the hotel grounds. The place is small and cute, with trees and plants, and the grounds and houses were clean, well looked after, calm, and nicely furnished. The only daytime noise was from sheep on nearby farms. Chris at reception was especially friendly. He welcomed us, offered us a drink, and explained everything in great detail in perfect English. Dinner was delicious, from the homemade pasta to the regional second course, and there was so much food we nearly couldn’t manage dessert. The next morning, a lady served the entirely homemade breakfast buffet in a covid-friendly way, asking what we wanted. There was one dog and seven cats around the grounds. The dog was well trained, and the cats were lovely. They like being petted and may come to your table at breakfast or dinner, but if you don’t feed them, they don’t pester you for long and leave after a few minutes. Chris also told us about Ivy Beach, a nearby pizzeria that gives hotel guests a discount and serves great food. Five stars, very well deserved. I highly recommend it and would love to come back. Dinner here is a must :) The food was really good and fresh, and the service was exceptional. The rooms are clean but very simple. There’s a pool, though we didn’t use it, chm, it didn’t look attractive to us. There’s a very picturesque beach nearby, but you have to walk along the route the sheep use too :). All in all, it’s fine for a night or two : )
