B&B Alighieri 97

Our group of eight friends stayed for two nights, and the central location worked really well. The rooms were spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, with balconies, and breakfast was included. The hosts were fantastic, the service was as good as it gets, and it was easy to reach them on WhatsApp. We had a wonderful time and I’ll definitely be back soon. Highly recommend!

We were able to leave our luggage at reception for about an hour after checkout, which was handy. The staff were lovely from the warm welcome onward, and we appreciated the water provided each day. They also left us a little bottle of prosecco and a small panettone for New Year’s Eve. Those thoughtful touches count. Our room was large, with a comfortable bed and pillows, a balcony, and a spacious, clean bathroom. Breakfast was a typical Italian sweet spread, fine to start the day, and the coffee was very good. There was extra coffee at reception, too. Bari Vecchia is close by, there’s a good bus connection to the airport, and several nice restaurants nearby. If we return to Bari, we’d stay here again.

Domenico was a kind, very responsive host. We slept well, and the rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds, a good shower, and large patios. It’s also an easy walk to everything.

The room matched the pictures online, and I was lucky to find this B&B. The bed and pillow were comfortable, nights were quiet, and the shower had wonderfully hot water. Antonio was always quick to reply when I WhatsApped with questions or needed help. Around Liberation Day on April 25 and Labour Day on May 1, the train schedule was in disarray, with many fewer trains running. I asked for help, and Domenico, the other host, drove me from Bari to Matera. I paid for the ride, of course, but public holiday transport can be hard to find in some cities. I highly recommend this B&B.
