B&B Chimera Bari

Antonella was so kind and flexible with my timing. My ferry arrived in the morning, so she let me leave my bag at the B&B until the room was ready, and had it prepared for a noon check-in. She explained everything about the guesthouse clearly and shared local recommendations. I was only here for one night between stops, but I was very comfortable and happy with the stay. The room was large, with comfortable beds, a hot shower, a mini fridge, and more. It’s conveniently close to the town center and train station. Thanks, Antonella, for the warm hospitality!

Before we arrived, Antonella had asked us to cancel our Booking.com reservation and book directly with her. When we got there, she made us sit at a table while she went through a long list of rules, then asked us to sign a lengthy document in Italian agreeing to everything. We weren’t allowed to see the room until we’d done that. We’d booked for two people, but only one bed had sheets and bedding. The other two beds in our room were bare. When we asked for sheets for one of them, she said we’d have to pay an extra “supplement.” The whole situation felt wrong, and Antonella and her partner, a guy trying to act tough, seemed quite threatening. We left immediately and gave up the tariff we’d already paid. As we were leaving, Antonella threw our belongings out of a second floor window onto the street below.

Communication with the owner was excellent, and I’d highly recommend the place. I spent four days at B&B Chimera. My room was large and clean, with a balcony. It’s ideally located, a 10-minute walk from both the train station and city center, and only three minutes from the promenade.

Antonella provided great communication and service. The location is great, close to the sea and the train station. There is some street noise, which is a slight downside, but the benefits of staying here more than make up for it.
