B&B L'Angolo dei poeti

Maurizio was welcoming and around for a chat or help when needed. The B&B is very clean and well equipped, right down to having a choice of softer or firmer pillows. It’s in a safe, lived-in neighborhood where people work and live, about a 15-minute walk from Old Bari, with buses nearby if you’d rather not walk. There’s a terrace on the third floor with an elevator, where you can have breakfast or bring your own dinner. Parking is available nearby if you have a car.

With only six rooms, this small hotel feels like the host can give proper attention to what you need, and he does. The rooms and shared areas are spotless and look lovely. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the city center, and you can watch local life from the rooftop terrace. I’d definitely recommend it :)

The staff were friendly, but there’s no reception staff available and only one door opener card per room. Traffic is loud nearby since it’s on a major street, in a not very appealing district with dirty streets around. Breakfast is basic and served at a cafe about 200 m away, across the street. There aren’t many bars or restaurants open in the evening, and the room rates aren’t cheap.

The room was okay for one night, and the host was very nice. Breakfast is at a nearby bar, pleasant enough but basic. Worked well for our first night in Puglia.
