The bed and shower worked, and the place was reasonably clean. But I wasn't supposed to stay there at all. The company running it moved me from another property a kilometre away without asking or even telling me. I had booked through a different platform and kept getting cancellation notifications, but never got any new information. I asked the manager whether there was laundry, since I figured I at least wanted that if I was being moved. He said there was, but there wasn't. The new place was in a completely different area, another 15 minutes' walk away, and up a walk-up to the third floor (fourth for North Americans). The stove didn't work, there was no microwave, the utensils were dirty, and there were no knives except butter knives. The bedroom window didn't close properly, so noise poured in until 2 am. On the second night I slept on the couch because the living room was quieter. When I told the manager I was unhappy about the lack of communication, he argued about how I should feel and said, “you should say thanks for the upgrade.” He also complained that I texted too early in the morning instead of trying to fix the situation, even though I had no information about the place or when it was okay to text. This reminded me why I avoid Airbnb-type stays. These managers don't know what they're doing compared with a real hotel.
