Host Bari centrale - Hostel

Emanuela was wonderful and very helpful, and the service made things more comfortable. The hostel was spotless and everything was well organized. My only issues were the tiny rooms and poor lighting. Still, I had a great stay and would recommend it for clean, comfortable lodging with friendly service.

The rooms and beds were clean, but cramped, with hardly any space. The lighting was either too dim or too bright, and the place felt far from cozy. You even have to pay extra to leave your luggage. The kitchen works, but it feels bare and without warmth. Everything seems cheap and quickly fixed. Apart from the friendly receptionists, I found little hospitality, generosity, or style. I've spent five weeks traveling around the Mediterranean and stayed in great hostels. This one felt like a step back from everything I experienced in Turkey, Greece, and especially Albania. :(

For a low-priced stay, it does the job. The reception gets five stars from me when someone is there, and the cleaning staff, Manuela é Mariana, were the nicest I've ever met. It's very clean, and they help out at the desk too. 💛

The shared living room was nice, with a comfy couch and lots of books, and the bathrooms were large and clean. Cooking was easy, with plenty of individual stoves and sinks in the kitchen. It's close to the central station and supermarkets. I stayed in a six-bed women's room, which was fine but small. Most of the hostel is in the basement without windows, so anyone who struggles with enclosed spaces may want to reconsider.
