Room 110

The only good thing was the location. We arrived around 12:30 and had early check-in agreed for 13:30. I called to ask if we could get in sooner, but the owner said it was impossible before 4 p.m. We reminded him that both the email and Booking said 13:30. He eventually called and told us to return then. When we got back, the cleaner was still there with her child. The owner then claimed he’d said 14:30 and told us to wait, repeatedly threatening to make us wait until 4 if we didn’t like it. The cleaner eventually finished and mopped around with a dirty mop. The pillowcase was yellow with another guest’s sweat. When I asked for a clean one, the cleaner said there wasn’t enough time to wash everything properly and that this was normal. The pillow was very hard and thick, and we had neck pain every day. The sheet was stained, so we turned it over. There was black hair on the bed, sink, and toilet seat, the shelves were dusty, and the place was generally dirty. We only got hot water for three minutes a day. The neighbors were extremely loud, even at 4 a.m., so we couldn’t sleep properly. I went over and asked them to quiet down, but they didn’t. We specifically asked for no more cleaning and no one to enter our room. On the fourth day, we noticed the bin had been changed, but nothing else had been done: no toilet paper or fresh towels. I called the owner angrily to ask why the cleaner had gone in after we’d clearly said not to. She hadn’t cleaned anyway, so what was the point? Our jewelry, passports, and everything else were in the room. He laughed it off and said they had the right to enter. Excuse me? The owner kept using not speaking English as an excuse, then laughed. He was nasty, inflexible, and very rude, and doesn’t know how to treat customers. He even replied on Booking that we weren’t welcome back. As if I’d ever want to return to that dirty hole. Reading the other reviews, it seems others had the same issue. Maybe he should work in a bar instead of running a place he can’t manage. LOL. If you want a rude owner who only speaks English when it suits him, cold water, dirt, and the worry that your things could be stolen because you never know who will enter your room despite being asked not to, this is the place for you!
