We spent six nights at SCARPARIDD HOME and were extremely satisfied. Mr. Nicola was kind and helpful, with useful tips about what to see and where to eat in Bari. The property was welcoming, clean, and carefully maintained, and the breakfast was excellent, with fresh local products. Its convenient location and peaceful atmosphere made exploring the area and relaxing a pleasure. Our stay exceeded expectations, and we'd highly recommend SCARPARIDD HOME for a relaxing, authentic vacation.

There’s a comfortable double bed and a second bed, but the second one had no blanket, only a very thin cover. We noticed late at night, just before turning in. The bathroom’s separated from the bedroom by a half-wall, so there’s little privacy. The room was clean and nicely furnished, and the location was good, but the price felt far too high for what we got. There’s a kettle but no cups beyond plastic ones, and no tea or coffee sachets, which would’ve been welcome. The front door is the only opening, with no windows, so getting fresh air means leaving it open to the street. And there was a steady, rhythmic, really irritating noise all day, maybe from a pump in the neighboring house. You can hear it in the video. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Bari Vecchia is a great area to explore on foot, and the apartment’s right in the middle of it. I expected more noise, but it quieted down after a certain hour, and the seafront is easy to reach if the bustle gets to you. The studio is on the ground floor and has no window, which I think would become tiresome over a longer stay. The bed was reasonably comfortable; the small bathroom was functional and had what we needed. We got simple instructions when we arrived, and were also allowed to leave our bags in storage, saving us half a day. It’s about a 30-minute relaxed walk from Bari Centrale station. We avoided coming by car, so I can’t say anything about parking. Breakfast is at the bar nearby. A decent base for a few days.

The father and son who run the place were attentive, and the location is hard to beat, right in the heart of Bari Vecchia, just 20 meters from the Basilica of San Nicola. Our package included breakfast, served at tables in the adjoining bar overlooking Piazza San Nicola. The facility was excellent and very clean. The only drawback was weak cell phone reception. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in Bari.
