Sevenmaze Charming House

We booked a room at sevenmaze at the last minute, and it turned out to be a little retreat from the busy city. The rooms are very spacious, and the service and upkeep were up to standard, even though it’s only rated two stars. It’s around 10-15 minutes from bari city centre and 20 minutes from poglinano a mare, so the location worked perfectly.

The rooms were the best part for me: comfortable beds, a good amount of space, and beautiful interiors. It’s hard to explain how good it feels to stay here. The hotel sits in a real botanic garden, with lovely plants and a dreamlike atmosphere that feels far removed from everyday life. The staff were lovely and the service was great. It’s close enough to the city centre and also near beautiful beaches along the coast. We’ll definitely return, though we haven’t decided when. Grazie a tutti, and grazie for everything!

The rooms were clean, nicely furnished, and full of lovely details. Staff were friendly and keen to help, and even with the restrictions due to Corona, they made us feel comfortable. It’s a good base for exploring the area, including Matera. Recommended! 👍

The bird chorus around the pool was one of our favorite parts, and I couldn’t believe some reviews complained about birdsong or being away from the city. We came without a car, but the town is only about a 10-minute drive away, and staff were usually happy to take us there for a small fee. This was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at, and we’ve traveled a lot. It’s a unique little piece of the Far East in Europe, carefully styled to evoke Bali and the surrounding area. Everything was thought through, from the plants and animals to the beautiful furniture and Indonesian artifacts. Calming music played day and night, and the room was luxurious and impeccably clean. Breakfast was delicious and had a personal touch. The staff were so lovely and helpful, especially Ezia, Sabrina, and Francesco. Thank you so much, we’ll be back! Animal lovers should meet Paco, the resident macaw, with staff guidance. He’ll steal your heart.
