Suite169 in Villa

The owners were absolutely courteous and very friendly during our weekend in suite 169 in the villa with a couple of friends. The apartment itself was adequate for the amenities provided, and it was certainly clean. But the pool situation was frustrating. The website and private messages said the pool was shared with other B&Bs in the area, so we expected other guests might be there, not that the owners' family and friends would occupy it. When we arrived, we were told to follow pool rules, which we did: no diving, tie up our hair, kindly without a cap, and apply sunscreen. Their friends and relatives promptly ignored those same precautions. Of our two days, one was cloudy, and we got less than half a day of pool use from the time we arrived. The family and friends took over the pool area, leaving too little room for us guests to make proper use of it. Since we paid, I imagine it was a good price, expecting to use all the amenities provided. Also, the freezer wasn't working at all, so we had to throw away some frozen food.

The hot tub was leaking dirt and all kinds of hair into the water, and the air conditioning in my room didn’t work. There were problems as soon as I arrived. For that price in Bari, you can find much better places. The amenities you’d expect from a “luxury” property just weren’t there. Unfortunately, I had a bad stay.

The owners were so welcoming and attentive to the little details, and everything was very clean. It’s a handy location if you’re arriving by plane or car. The place itself is lovely for a vacation, and I’d recommend it. I had an excellent experience.

The room was spotless, and that huge hot tub was a treat. Everything was perfect.
