La magnolia B&B

I've been coming for short breaks for years and always have a great time. The apartments are very clean, and the owner is consistently kind and helpful. It's also a great location for getting to Salerno and the Amalfi Coast.

The lady who runs the place was very kind and helpful. It was clean and fairly quiet, though some parts of the building could use updating. The windows and mosquito nets worked very well. The centrally controlled air conditioning couldn't be switched on, but there was a fan, and even in intense heat we slept cool with the window open. I'd booked a two-bedroom apartment with an ensuite, but was given a very nice double room with just one bed. The bathroom was clean and structurally perfect, but you had to leave the room and go along a shared corridor to reach it right next door. There was nobody else on the floor at the time, and I had the kitchen to myself for breakfast. The breakfast selection was fairly comprehensive, though the brands were budget ones. There was no TV in the room or kitchen, which felt like an unpleasant omission. I'd stay again if those shortcomings were addressed and the price adjusted. For two nights in that location, it seemed excessive.

The mattress was incredibly comfortable, which really matters after having woken up with severe back pain at a four-star hotel. The place was also meticulously maintained. We stayed from December 30, 2018, to January 2, 2019, and Rosa and Paolo welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home right away. They're wonderful people. The sweet breakfast was superb, plentiful, and varied, with croissants, biscuits, cereal, milk, tea, coffee, yogurt, and more. They even asked about dietary needs. Everything was spotless and carefully arranged, and the bathroom was spacious with a shower. Our area was large and comfortable, with huge rooms for us and our daughter, tastefully furnished and equipped with heating, TV, water, bathroom amenities, and every comfort. Paolo and Rosa, the owners of B&B La Magnolia, made us feel at ease from the moment we arrived. The property is only minutes from Salerno and the ring road, and parking was easy, with private parking also available. My family and I stayed from December 14th to 16th, 2018.
