From the tower at the top of this Liberty style building, you can look across Bassano del Grappa's historic center, the Brenta River and Ponte degli Alpini, with the mountains beyond. The attic has a lovely setting right in the middle of town. Our room was modern, very clean, and full of thoughtful touches, including a refillable custom water bottle, an Alexa Echo Dot by the bed, and a Jacuzzi tub. The host met us right on time, walked us through what we needed to know, and check-in and checkout were both easy. We also liked the setup of the place. There were shared lounges and dining tables, plus an honesty bar, coffee and tea makers, cutlery, and a fridge, so we could settle in and enjoy our time at our own pace.

I'd been looking forward to my holiday in Bassano del Grappa, but while I was arriving the owner cancelled the apartment booking without giving any explanation. I tried calling several times and got no answer. I'd booked four months ahead.
