The mountain views made the 30-40 minute drive to the nearest beach worthwhile. We loved the peaceful setting, and the host was such a helpful, gentle person. Villa Maddalena had everything we needed for staying there and preparing food. It was our first time staying in a mountain town, and we were so glad we did. The town is small but has plenty to see. Most of the houses seem steeped in history, and even the ruins are incredibly picturesque.

The balcony sunsets are amazing, and having a gas grill on the balcony was great. The hosts were really cool, and there was even beer and water waiting in the fridge. The apartment in Baunei is finished with lovely attention to detail and has everything we needed, including a washing machine, air conditioning, refrigerator, stove, and other essentials. I really recommend it!

The staff were so lovely and answered all our questions, as well as pointing us to the best places in Baunei. We were really happy with our stay. The apartment was nice, with a terrace and a beautiful view.

Gianpriamo was the real highlight. We arrived late, so we didn't meet him in person, but communicating with him was incredibly pleasant and easy. Before we arrived, he sent all the practical information and advice we could have hoped for, from the apartment, restaurants, ice cream, shopping, parking, and Baunei's narrow streets to exploring the region for beaches and hikes. We followed all his tips, and they added a lot to our stay. Thanks again! The apartment is lovely and cozy, very practical, and well equipped, with a small, pleasant terrace. Baunei is a beautiful little village clinging to the mountain, with superb views across the valley to the sea. It's ideally placed for exploring this wonderful area, whether the mountains and countryside or the coast, beaches, and incredible coves.

Everything was super clean, and the place was very comfortable for a couple with a couple of children. The town has all the amenities you need, including a pharmacy, artisan ice cream shop, pastry shop, gas station, and several restaurants. It was quiet and relaxed, not crowded at all in July. There are beautiful beaches about 20-30 minutes away, and it's close to the boats for excursions. A great base for trekking. Absolutely recommended.
