Ca' Irri Apartment

The only snag for our group of six was check-in after booking through Booking.com. Max was extremely kind and easy to talk to, meeting us at the entrance and showing us around the apartment and nearby things to do, including food spots. He was courteous, helpful, and available for whatever we needed. The apartment is in a charming part of town, with a beautiful interior that mixes modern, avant-garde design and rustic touches. The bathroom is spacious and the shower is phenomenal. The main bedroom has a huge walk-in closet, though there’s no mirror. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and essentials. We stayed just one night, but it was a great experience. The layout and style work well for couples or groups, and we’d happily return for several weeks.

It’s a lovely apartment, furnished in a modern style with everything looking brand new, plus a nice little terrace. The owner was friendly and helpful. It sits a bit above the lake, about a 15-minute walk away. Parking is the one drawback.

We had a horrible experience with the owner, and the police had to step in. At check-in, his wife forgot to ask us for the cash deposit. Two hours later, while we were an hour away from the apartment, the owner demanded we come straight back to complete check-in. We were staying two nights and offered to sort it out the next day instead of making a two-hour round trip. He refused, harassed us for hours, then cut off our remote access to the apartment with our luggage inside. With police intervention, we finally got back in. Otherwise, we would have been left on the street with our three young children. Unacceptable. He wanted to cancel our booking without a refund, and did so even in front of the police. Avoid at all costs!

The cobbled pedestrian lanes are lovely, and the place is very pretty and quiet. The apartment itself is nice, but it feels a little small for five or six people. There’s just one shower room with a toilet, two double beds on a mezzanine, and a sofa bed in the living room. I’d recommend it, but for three or four people at most.
