For such a busy place, Baveno has a dreadful train service. In the morning, northbound trains have a four-hour gap, which is unacceptable. The station is a grand old building, now left abandoned and derelict.
It’s a nice town, but such a shame it feels neglected. Streetlights are missing in many places, and some roads are awful. The entrance to Baveno from the bridge over the river also looks uncared for. The initiatives are adequate.
There’s a lot of renovation work happening, and Baveno is already looking beautiful and well cared for. Simply lovely. ❤️
Train service here is very limited, with trains to Domodossola only hourly, and sometimes just every two hours. They’re often delayed, too. The station itself feels old and deserted. When I tried to head north, I waited two hours after the Domodossola train was already an hour late. It never showed up in the end. Luckily another train finally arrived! 🙏 Unreliable‼️
