We travel a lot, but have never had a stay this bad. The room we rented for three nights was horrible: cold and dirty, with a gallery only 1.5 metres high, not fit for people. The service was poor and unprofessional. Once you’re in their hands, you’re doomed. Be careful!

We spent three days at Maravilla Impero House. The apartment needs some attention: the refrigerator was loose in the kitchen, part of the induction hob didn’t work, and there were visible problems like holes in the curtain and marks on the wall. The bedroom door wouldn’t close properly, some lights didn’t work, and we found ants. The outdoor terrace could also use maintenance to make it more attractive. Still, we enjoyed the area around beautiful Lake Maggiore. Baveno is a charming village, and the islands are well worth visiting. With some upkeep, this could be a wonderful place to stay.
