Hotel Residence Dei Fiori

The hotel is close to restaurants, ice cream shops, and the beach, which was its main advantage for us. Most of the staff came across as unwelcoming, though one older staff member was kind and helpful. Another problem was the lack of basic services: no towel changes, room cleaning, or garbage disposal. We were two families with a non-refundable booking for one family room and two apartments. At reception, we were instead given a three-bedroom apartment, shown in the first picture, with an unusual design and an attached bathroom for each room. It was enough space for both families, so we asked to cancel the family room and stay in that apartment. Reception and the owner wouldn't make an allowance. We contacted Booking.com, and they helped resolve it so we paid for just one night, saving the cost of three more nights. Not recommended.

The tiramisu at the restaurant was delicious, and the rooms were clean and simple. The hotel is well located, and the staff were really nice.

A good spot to unwind by Maggiore Lake, and to take a boat over to the Borromeo's Island. It's a typical family residence near Baveno.

Breakfast had few options, and there wasn't much customer service. The rooms are very small, so the stay felt average.
