La Taverna Dei Gufi

We picked this place for its appearance, description, and reasonable price. The location suited us too: away from the bigger towns, but still just a short drive from the lake. The beautiful house sits among woodland, and our room and shower room felt homely and relaxing. There was plenty of storage, and the kettle, fridge, and other appliances all worked well. The bed and bedding were very comfortable, though there weren't any sockets beside the bed, so we had to charge our phones elsewhere. Enrico served an excellent continental breakfast in his lounge and dining room, with its wonderfully patterned parquet floor, and was friendly and caring throughout. We liked Paul, the host dog, who often came to greet us. He was generally well behaved, but people who aren't keen on dogs might be a little put off. It was also great to arrive late on our first evening and find the fridge stocked with free soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, and snacks. Thanks, Enrico. We had a fine holiday!
