Simona and Alberto were so friendly and helpful, and had great suggestions for things to do and places to eat nearby. The lake views are spectacular, and the rooms were clean and nicely equipped. There’s plenty to do without heading out, too, with a small pool, hot tub, exercise equipment, ping pong, foosball, play equipment, loungers, hammocks, and a private botanical garden. Alberto even took the kids for a ride on his Vespa.

We were only meant to stay one night at this historic hotel before driving farther south, but a tyre puncture just three miles away nearly changed those plans. Alberto called tyre center after tyre center across the area until he found one with our tyre model in stock. Most places said they’d need to order the replacement, which could have kept us there another day. He also dealt with the tow truck company, and within a few hours we were back on our way. We’ve never had hotel hosts help us like that. Alberto and Simona are truly wonderful, friendly people, and Alberto saved our holiday.

I’m sitting in the garden and can hardly make myself move, it’s unbelievably beautiful here. The room is simple but great, the coffee is amazing, and the host is so kind and always smiling.

The rooms are huge, gorgeous, and have comfy beds, with views of the lake and trees. I didn’t take any room photos, but it was beautiful. The villa is quaint and so nicely appointed, and the grounds are gorgeous. Hospitality felt warm and convivial. A train does pass now and then during the day, but it’s quick and quiet. There’s an outdoor hot tub, plus showers and slippers. We absolutely loved it. Highly recommend! Grazie!
