The room was clean and cozy, and we had a lovely stay. It can get a little noisy at night when several people come into the house at once, so I wouldn’t choose it if you plan to party. But for a quiet, relaxing time at Lake Como, it’s a great fit. The area itself is calm, with a bakery, restaurant, beach and other things you need all within a five-minute walk.

It’s a peaceful place to get a feel for local life in Bellagio, and people in this quiet town were friendly. The view from one bedroom is incredible, and the apartment was clean with everything we needed. There’s a washer but no dryer. A public laundry is nearby, next to a small restaurant, café and grocery store. You’ll need to rent a car to stay here, as there’s no public transport. If you can’t arrange one before booking, take the tourist car train at the downtown San Giovanni station. The atmosphere is very different from the busier ferry area with its shops and restaurants. The best part was the great view, and the place is full of beauty and tranquility.

Update, 11.7.24: After the way the owner replied, I’ll never visit her place again. I’m shocked and completely disappointed. She’s lying and making things up about events that never happened. The family villa itself is beautiful, with three bedrooms that worked well for six people and a baby. We enjoyed the garden, free parking, outdoor ping pong and BBQ, and there’s a really nice café two minutes away. We had a great time, though there’s room for improvement. The kitchen lacked cooking accessories, which was frustrating. When we politely asked for extra towels and toilet paper, the owner didn’t respond for over 24 hours, then wrote, “We are not a hotel!!” We bought the supplies ourselves, which wasn’t the issue. It was the rude way she treated us, and the way she answered. I can’t understand treating customers like that. It shows a complete lack of business understanding.

The owner was unprofessional and ignored us. We’d asked before arriving whether baby supplies could be provided, and she said that wouldn’t be a problem, but when we got there she’d forgotten them. She was disrespectful when we brought it up again. We also asked about fresh towels and only got a reply after 24 hours: “We are not a hotel.” There are many better villas in the area. Anyone else would be better than her.
