A good value for Bellagio, with clean, fairly spacious rooms and what seemed to be new bathrooms. The photos don’t quite capture how nice the place is. It sits centrally, but toward the quieter end of town. The main drawbacks were the beds and a very noisy fridge. Once we turned the fridge off, the place was peaceful. It would’ve helped to have rubbish bags and bath toiletries provided. For Bellagio generally, I’d say two nights is enough to see everything.

The no-contact COVID precautions felt safe and clean. We got all the check-in details a few days ahead, and spent a relaxing afternoon on the shared roof terrace in the sun. Haus Bethusy is a lovely studio with new facilities and a really comfortable bed. The location alone feels worth the price, with the gorgeous Lake Como shoreline just steps away and mountains all around us each morning. Bellagio made a pretty base for exploring the lake, and a nice place to spend a day or two eating, shopping, or just sitting by the water. The apartment has a lovely balcony view, and guests can use the roof terrace too. Haus Bethusy is ideally placed, away from the main tourist flow, though the map might make it look inconvenient. Bellagio is tiny, so you can walk everywhere. We took a star off because there’s no parking. We had a rental car for trips elsewhere, and parking in public spaces downhill to the north, toward the tip of Bellagio, was a bit of a hassle. It was about a five-minute walk back. You don’t need a car just to get around Bellagio. Otherwise, a lovely stay.
