Hotel Jolanda

Lovely.

The hotel was closed when we arrived at 8:00 PM on New Year’s Eve, even though our New Year’s Eve booking through hotels.com had been confirmed and the fixed amount charged. We hadn’t received any message on the platform. There were two phone numbers posted outside; one went unanswered. The person at the other number said there’d been an error opening bookings on the platform and that we’d be refunded later. He seemed surprised that we were standing outside the hotel. Nobody had told us about the mistake beforehand, neither the hotel, which probably knew, nor the platform. On New Year’s Eve, of all nights. Speechless.

I stayed from Tuesday, September 16th to Saturday, September 20th, 2025, near the end of the season when there weren’t many reservations. Even so, we were put in very small rooms. To sit on the toilet, we had to leave the door open because otherwise there wasn’t enough room. The woman at reception seemed very kind, but in the end I was treated terribly. After we left, I asked by phone several times for the receipt. Each time I was told yes, but it never arrived. I consider the hotel unreliable.

We only stayed a short while, and I wish we’d found this place sooner. The staff were friendly, the location was excellent, and the price was good. Our room was spacious and had all the comforts we needed. The bathroom was roomy too, with a very large shower. Having two children, I especially appreciated the little stool inside the shower stall. If I come back to the area, I’ll know where to stay!
