Bed and Breakfast Belpasso - Le Meraviglie dell'Etna

It was okay.

My husband has been staying here for about 10 days each month for several years, since he works outside Palermo every week, and he wouldn't choose anywhere else. The owners always greet him with the same warmth, and I'm grateful for that. They're kind, friendly, and discreet, and made us feel at ease right away when I stayed here with my family. The place is spotless, comfortable, and feels like home, with a restaurant just a short walk away. That's why the few negative comments surprised me. They don't match the people or the place as I know them, and some of those remarks seem really unfair.

The peaceful location is a real plus, and there's a supermarket and sports facilities close by. The rooms are roomy and well equipped, with strong Wi-Fi throughout. From the window or balcony in the morning, you get a full 360-degree view, with the sea and Mount Etna looking magnificent. This is a lovely, new, well-kept place at the foot of Mount Etna. I'll definitely come back on my next holiday.

The big terrace looking straight at Etna helped make up for the cramped room, though we had to share it with the people next door, who smoked heavily. We ended up keeping the windows shut. Our room was listed for four, but it felt like a tight double with two small beds squeezed in, and there was barely any room around the bedside tables. The building itself is new, occupies one floor of a small villa, and has a little parking area for two cars, with extra space along the widened road. The owners were helpful and courteous. Belpasso is still pleasant and easy to walk around, even though this B&B sits near the edge of town. It's a convenient base for two days at Etnaland, and there's one of the town's best restaurants right across the street. Its raised position is a strong point, and the historic Condorelli pastry shop is only a few minutes away by car if you want to add something to breakfast.
