ETNA Family

The hardest part was having to leave. We were eight, including two children, and stayed from August 23rd to 26th. We went from Trapani for a short break with a theme park evening, a day at Etnaland, and some trips to Catania and the malls. The house is up around 1,000 meters in Etna Park. The winding, uphill access road takes a little effort, but the fresh mountain air, quiet, and views toward Catania and Syracuse make it worthwhile. Nights and days stayed cool enough that we didn't need the air conditioning, even though it was there, and a sheet was plenty for sleeping. There's easy parking inside, a huge enclosed veranda with mosquito screens, other outdoor verandas, and a swing for the kids. The rooms have TVs, and there are sofas and loveseats around the house. Sicilian hats and old objects decorate the walls, and Christmas lights were already set up in the indoor veranda. It feels ready for any season, with two pellet stoves and bags of pellets provided. If I had to be picky, the door hinges creaked at night and could use some oil. A special thanks to the owners, who were genuinely kind. I don't know them personally, and I almost never write reviews, but this stay deserved one. We'll definitely be back.

The garden won over the child I'm here with. The house is spectacular, clean, and well maintained, and the owners are lovely and very helpful. A magnificent spot with an even better view. Highly recommended.
