We were finishing a three-week trip of 1800klm through southern Italy when Candace and I booked this place on the fly. It turned out to be one of the best, so we stayed a second night. It was very quiet after the season, with a beautiful ocean view from our room. The room was clean, service excellent, and the food good. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there's a good bar. A supermarket is only a short drive away if you need one.

The gardens are the real highlight for me, so lush and beautiful that they feel like paradise. The gardeners are incredibly talented. The hotel has a quirky late 80s, early 90s feel, but it's very clean, with good food. Meals are well organized, and the private beach has umbrellas and lounge chairs. I absolutely adore this hotel and highly recommend it.

The cleaning was the best I've experienced at any hotel, and the restaurant food was fresh and amazing. The staff were extremely friendly and did everything they could to make food for my one-year-old son. There's lots of parking and the location feels secure. There were some serious problems too. There are no wheelchair or stroller ramps, so keep that in mind if you need assistance or have a child. The Wi-Fi didn't work at all because, as they said, "Vodafone is down." We had paid for Wi-Fi on this trip, so that was disappointing. I also injured my knee and shin in the pool on a step that was hard to notice, and had to ice them all afternoon. At checkout, the director tried to overcharge us and wouldn't give us a detailed receipt. He and the receptionist quoted different prices. It felt like he thought he could pull a fast one because we were foreigners.

It was a pretty good stay. I would have liked bicycles or some organized excursions offered by the hotel.

A lovely family-run hotel, right by a nice beach.
