Il Giardino nella Valle

The best part of a place like Giardino nella Valle is the people. Paola, Alessandro, and their two wonderful children made us feel included in their family while still giving us room to be independent. We were lucky to share the stay as a family, and it reminded me that relationships are what matter most. This is somewhere that stays with you, bringing a sense of peace and beauty. It felt like coming home, with a rare balance where body and soul could settle together. We felt cared for and welcome, never intruded upon.

Our week was so relaxing, between time in the garden and by the 28°C pool. The owners were very friendly, and they regularly offered us lovely fruit from their own garden. You can also buy their excellent homemade olive oil. The apartment was better than the photos, modern, tastefully furnished, and well equipped. There’s a breathtaking view over the valley, and the agriturismo itself is peaceful with a stunning outlook. Thanks so much! :-)

The owners were so kind and helpful, and the villa was gorgeous. We had a truly unforgettable stay with a breathtaking view and so much peace and quiet. A heartfelt thank you!

Alessandro and Paola are disarmingly kind. We’ll definitely be back. What a place. The view is the real wonder: step out through the hall’s door-window and there’s a sort of Val d'Orcia in the Marche region, with holm oaks in place of cypresses. Hills roll into one another, covered in fields of olive trees, wheat, and sunflowers. Beautiful. The old farmhouse appears at the end of a dirt road. The photos don’t quite show the elegance and detail inside. I loved the different shades of white, from the curtains to the staircase, the ceramic stove, and the minimalist furnishings of the early 20th century. There’s even an oxidized saxophone belonging to an ancestor resting in a corner. You can see the quality of the restoration, done with recycled materials, as soon as you arrive. Chapeau.
