B&B La Casa di Klida

The location is excellent, just outside Bologna, and breakfast is set out as a buffet. But the place needs renovation, even if the price is affordable. The woman was friendly and extremely helpful. My room was in terrible shape: the walls were dirty, it smelled strongly of tobacco, and there was no soundproofing. I could clearly hear the neighbor's shower, the news, and phone calls. The air conditioner was mounted directly above the bed. It was either a noisy fan and the risk of getting congested, or stifling heat. A large dog in the courtyard below barked and howled through the night. I'd spotted a few coffee capsules the evening before, but by 8:30 in the morning they'd disappeared. A mystery. I agree with other reviewers that breakfast shouldn't be left unsupervised. I couldn't know who had handled the food before me or how long it had been sitting out, so I ended up having breakfast at the bar. This is meant as constructive criticism, of course.

A beautiful place with all the comforts, and a very kind, professional owner. I'd recommend it and would return.

I spent a few workdays at Klizia's place and felt right at home. Klizia and her family are wonderful, and everyone there was helpful and very, very generous. Highly recommended. SEE YOU AGAIN soon! :)

The location worked out really well: 15 minutes from Bologna and 20 from Ferrara. It's quiet, well kept, friendly, and reasonably priced, with services other places don't offer. I really liked it. Well done.
