B&B Fanzago

The receptionist was really kind to us. Since our flight was at 5am, she called us a taxi and gave us a few snacks for breakfast because we'd miss the B&B breakfast. The shower was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. It's centrally located, close to both the station and the city centre.

We needed somewhere for the night, so I'm giving it a good rating. Early check-in was possible, the room was clean and comfortable, and we could use the kitchen. The downsides were the cold room, poor soundproofing, and the high price of 69 euros for a double. We had escaped from Ukraine, and the hostess saw our passports but still insisted that we pay the city tax in cash, which seemed strange and, as I understand it, she most likely won't pay it to the state. The location near the main station was convenient, and the rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. But the customer service was the worst I've ever experienced. We booked about two months ahead and expected to arrive around 20h, though check-in was available from 15h and vacation plans can change. We got to the apartment around 16h and rang the bell several times, but nobody answered. Messages through the booking chat got no reply either. The contact number was switched off when we called, and the phone was off on WhatsApp too. We waited outside for an hour in the 36°C summer heat with no response. Why turn off your phone when you know guests are arriving? More than three hours later, the owner called back, apologized, and said we had to arrive before 20h or they'd charge an extra 15€. Making people wait that long during their holiday is incredible.

The breakfast choices were superb, and the owner was always happy to help us figure out local transport and what was nearby. It’s a quiet spot, and getting to the train station was easy even with our heavy luggage. We’d happily stay here again.
