The hosts made us feel so welcome, and their warmth and the history of the place really stayed with us. My son and I were impressed, it felt magical and worth the price. The room or apartment has a lovely mix of modern style and a feeling of stepping back in time. We only stayed one night, but I’d come back even with the walk to the castle. I hope they add more rooms and keep having happy guests.

We loved having space to sit outside on the castle grounds, read, and take in the landscape. There’s also room to park. The B&B occupies a separate part of the Castello with its own entrance, and inside there’s a lovely living room, a fully equipped kitchen, plenty of space, and modern bathrooms. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, served in a beautiful ballroom. We spent several nights there in October 2017 and would definitely return. It’s just below the gates to Bergamo’s upper city.

After our wedding in August last year, we spent two nights at Il Castello di valverde. The hospitality was excellent, and we felt truly welcomed and special. We’d love to return with our daughters when they’re a little older.
