Bergamo Inn 15

The room was clean and check-in was straightforward, and the location seemed promising at first, about 15 minutes from the airport in beautiful Bergamo. But the locked air conditioning couldn't be controlled, so we were sweltering through the night. There was also an annoying buzz from the socket beside the bed. I wasn't rested before my flight, and can't recommend staying here.

We liked the location, and the room itself was decent, but it was warmer than we wanted because the air conditioner was tucked away and didn't cool it properly. Self check-in was confusing too. There weren't clear instructions, so we had to contact the property ourselves. The hotel is quite small, and our room had stairs inside it, which could make it difficult for older guests or families with small children. I'd ask about the room layout and ventilation before booking.

I spent hours trying to get into the hotel and ended up paying about 30 euros in phone charges. There’s no front desk and no employees around, so everything is handled by phone. The people answering weren't easy to reach or very kind, and seemed to be helping several guests at once. When I asked them to come back to our conversation, they hung up. They apparently have remote staff trying to help, but it took ages. Even after I got the door code, the door didn't work properly, leaving me outside for another hour. Terrible service and experience. It wasn't worth it, and I would never book this hotel.

Don't book here. The check-in failed, we never got a PIN, and we had to find another hotel. Now we're waiting to see whether they'll refund us. This felt like a scam. I had to give it one star, though it deserves minus five.
