Citywalls Guest House Bergamo

We stayed in room 3 for a night before our flight. It was cozy and clean, with a private bathroom, central heating, AC, a small fridge, table and chairs, TV, closet, and big windows. The kitchen is shared, and guests are required to use gloves and masks in the guest house. Getting to the airport takes about 20 minutes by bus, changing twice. The host was kind and straightforward, gave us directions and nearby restaurant suggestions without us asking, and even approved a later checkout, though we didn’t end up needing it. It was a good experience.

For a one or two night stay in Bergamo, this is a great spot. It’s about a 15 minute walk to a part of the city center with terraces, shops, and plenty more, and about 15 minutes by bus from the main train station. The room was spacious, nicely lit, and had air conditioning. One room has its bathroom in the hallway instead of inside, but it’s basically reserved for that room, so there’s no need to worry. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the Wi-Fi is fast.

I don’t recommend it. I booked in November for March and had already paid. After a long transatlantic flight, I finally landed at Bergamo airport and went to check the hotel address, only to find out it was canceled. Super unprofessional.

Watch out for the unpleasant host. I recently booked November by mistake instead of October, and was very disappointed when the host refused my request for a free cancellation a month in advance. I feel they took advantage of my mistake.
