B&B Boblin BLU

That sunrise over the Nure Valley was unforgettable. Marina suggested closing the shutters so the light wouldn't wake us, but we left them open for the view. I was on a motorcycle tour with a friend who took us to Maremma, and we stopped for one night. The rooms were spacious, well furnished and inspired by Eastern philosophies, with extremely comfortable beds. Even the extra cot I asked for was perfect. The place is stylish and tastefully done, and the tiles were beautiful too. Walking on them barefoot felt so clean. Marina was welcoming and kind from the moment I called to book directly, without the usual booking sites. We had a 470km leg to cover by motorcycle and left early, so I wish we'd had more time to talk with her and hear about her story and philosophy of life, including her move from Milan to this enchanting valley. Next time!

The excellent breakfast was included, and there's a great bakery just a few meters from the B&B. In the breakfast room, there are travel guides if you need ideas for what to see. The location worked well for us, close to points of interest and on the road from Piacenza and Bettola toward Farini and the Aveto Valley. It's 30 km from Bardi and about an hour's drive from Bobbio and the Oltrepò Pavese. I think it suits all kinds of travelers, from walkers and trekking fans to people wanting a quiet break away from the big cities without being too far from them. The value for money was good too. Marina's lovely property has a distinctive atmosphere and careful attention to detail, which reflects her passion. I found her B&B on Booking.com, then got in touch directly after reading the Google reviews. She was incredibly kind even on the phone. My stay was one of the most memorable parts of my six-day walk to Pontremoli. We were two pilgrims walking the Via degli Abati, and after we'd covered thirty kilometers, Marina picked us up in the evening after dinner in Farini and took us back early the next morning, always smiling and thoughtful. About whether it's worth staying here, my answer isn't yes, it's "What are you waiting for?" :D

On Monday, June 3rd, we stayed at the Boblin Blu in the enchanting Nure Valley. The room was fantastic, stylishly furnished, with a lovely view over the valley. I spent three days there with my son for an enduro race. The place is really beautiful and kept in meticulous shape, and the owner is incredibly kind. It makes for a picture-perfect visit!
