The grounds are beautiful, and the small pool is kept in good shape. I also liked having private loungers and being able to open and close the gate from the car with the remote. The room itself was a different story. Our small double room had no windows, just a French door with a mosquito screen, so it was dark and hardly ventilated. The tiny bathroom had no window or bidet, and there was mold on the walls and between the tiles. The electric extractor worked, but was clogged with dust, and even leaving it running for a long time didn’t clear the bathroom smells. The sink aerator was partly blocked with limescale and mold. The old air conditioner smelled musty, and the TV kept losing its signal or freezing, with the decoder hanging loose. The worst issue was the lack of sound insulation. We could hear the neighbors next door speaking at an ordinary volume, while footsteps from upstairs echoed like elephant steps. Chairs and other furniture scraped loudly too, especially at bedtime, because they didn’t have felt pads. I told the receptionist, and Miss Valeria did her best to help. At least the late-night noise stopped. But even after the neighbors changed, it was still a problem, which seems to be a structural insulation issue. More than a thousand euros a week, and breakfast wasn’t included.

We only stayed one night, which is a shame. The apartment was stylish and fit right in with the surroundings, with lots of thoughtful details. There was plenty of room to unwind, and we really loved their wines.

The outdoor park is lovely, but there aren’t any trash cans there, and the house basics are missing. We were four adults, and the individual rooms were small, with narrow, short beds that seemed meant for children. There are almost no windows, so you’re stuck relying on the air conditioning. The living room had neither a sofa nor windows, just a door we couldn’t leave open because there was no curtain and everyone could see in. The small bathroom also had no bidet. It looks beautiful, but doesn’t quite come together. Too bad.
