Residenza d'Epoca CAVALIERE

Martina and Fabio welcomed us so warmly at Residenza d’Epoca Cavaliere that we felt like part of their family. The property is spotless and beautifully decorated, with elegant touches and original details from its 1930 construction. It has a character all its own. Our Matrimoniale Standard suite was spacious, quiet, and comfortable, with a private bathroom, air conditioning, plenty of luggage storage, and a bed made up with 100% cotton linens that gave us a great night’s sleep. Breakfast, lovingly prepared by Martina, was a highlight. The location made it easy to explore Tuscany and nearby beach towns. We also recommend taking a tour with Fabio. His archaeological expertise and knowledge of the area made our wine tasting at Castello Ginori Di Querceto truly memorable. We look forward to coming back. One small tip: pack light, as the rooms are reached by stairs.

Martina made us feel at home when we arrived after a day exploring the region. She was incredibly warm and thoughtful, and shared a glass of local wine with us on the terrace. The hotel is tucked into the lovely village of Bibbona, just minutes from the Bolgheri vineyards. On her recommendation, we had dinner and drinks in Casale Marittimo. The next day we walked to a local windmill and saw one of the most spectacular views in Toscana. There’s music and art, and the homemade breakfast was delicious. I recommend the omelette, cinnamon apple cake, and homemade cartucci. Martina is amazing, and I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

The hosts, Martine and Fabio, know the area really well and helped us find things to see and do. They were among the best B&B hosts we’ve had over many years of trips, and we hope to visit again. The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, and the sunny terrace was a great place to read, chat, have a drink, or just unwind. There’s free parking less than 50 metres away.
