At first the apartment looked nice, but we later found serious problems. Our complaint to the agency went unanswered. The oven didn’t work, which meant we could only eat out. In the kitchen, the cabinets and other components were just slotted together, not screwed together. That seemed dangerous with children around. On our last day, one of our children grabbed a door, it fell, and injured his foot. The bathroom had a washing machine, but its drain hose ran into the shower, and the bathroom flooded in the middle of the night. The room was poorly soundproofed, with a noisy arcade next door that stayed loud late into the night. There weren’t any mosquitoes or gnats, but after my partner lay in bed she developed red spots on parts of her body. I slept in another bed. After looking online and talking to a nurse, we became convinced there were bedbugs in at least one of the beds. To us, that pointed to poor cleanliness. We raised these points as constructive criticism so things could be improved.

It’s a somewhat dated building, though it’s still in good shape.
